How I know ActiveRain works!
So I'm sitting here in my living room office, working from my couch desk, when my cellphone rings.
It's the UPS guy.
He's got a package for M.M. Parrish, but it's got an Alachua address. He wants to know how to get there.
Hmm.
I don't work in Alachua, and our office is in Gainesville.
"What does the label say?" I ask.
"M.M. Parrish Construction," he says.
"I work for M.M. Parrish Realtors, not M.M. Parrish Construction," I say.
"Well how do I get to M.M. Parrish Construction?" he asks.
"I have no clue. Hold on. Let me Google it." So I pull up M.M. Parrish Construction's address and contact number.
While I'm waiting for the info to load, I ask him "how did you get my number?"
"I googled M.M. Parrish and your number came up," he says.
M.M. Parrish. Major company. Around these parts for nearly 100 years.
And it's MY cell phone number that comes up.
Guess all that blogging really IS working after all!
I give the UPS guy the contact phone number, and he apologizes. "I should have just googled M.M. Parrish Construction. I thought it was all the same company."
"That's OK," I tell him.
And it is.
Because he just made my day!
